Piano, Trumpet and Conducting tutor in North London
Hello! I’m Ed Liebrecht, I’m a conducting student at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Sian Edwards. I offer lessons in conducting, piano, trumpet and music theory. I’ve played the trumpet for 17 years, which I studied with BBC Concert Orchestra principal trumpet Dave MacCallum, and the piano for 8 years, which I studied with Royal Birmingham Conservatoire teacher Magdalena Nasidlak. I have been teaching piano and trumpet for 5 years, and music theory for 6 years.
I’m very happy to teach beginners and intermediate pupils (up to grade 8), and more advanced pupils for certain things after consultation. I try to find interesting and varied ways to let musicians get the most from their studies, so not too many hours on technical studies! I studied for my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, and I teach analysis and musicology there now, so I’m happy to advise with preparations for A Level or University entry tutoring. I’m also available for exam accompaniment. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
