Emma Thompson is a classically trained violinist based in the vibrant city of Bristol. With a passion for music that spans genres and styles, Emma is dedicated to helping students of all ages and backgrounds discover the joy of playing the violin.
Emma’s journey with the violin began at the age of six when she first picked up the instrument in her school orchestra. From that moment on, she was captivated by the sound of the violin and the endless possibilities it offered. She went on to study violin performance at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she honed her skills under the guidance of some of the country’s top musicians.
After graduating with honours, Emma embarked on a career as a professional violinist, performing with orchestras and chamber ensembles across the country. But she soon discovered that her true passion lay in teaching, and she made the decision to focus on sharing her love for the violin with others.
As a teacher, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her lessons, tailoring each session to the individual needs and interests of her students. In addition to her work as a teacher, Emma is also an active performer, regularly playing solo and chamber music concerts in Bristol and beyond. Her expressive playing and dynamic stage presence have earned her a devoted following of fans and admirers.
