I first picked up the guitar when I was 9 years old. Since then I don’t think a day has gone by where I haven’t played it. During my teens I started gigging and writing songs, always determined to make music my job. I went to study Music at University and when I graduated, I found myself teaching in mainstream and SEN schools. I loved teaching and realised that actually I could combine my two favourite things.
Just under 10 years ago I became a professional musician. I have toured internationally, playing with rock, blues, folk, bluegrass and covers bands. I have been fortunate enough to play some of the UK’s largest festivals and also been featured on channel 4 and BBC Radio.
Throughout this I have also taught hundreds of students ranging from 6 to 60 years old, all different levels!
Music is my life and being able to share my passion for it with my clients is the most enjoyable aspect of my job. I have over a decades worth of experience teaching one to one, online and in groups. I often teach in my students homes, but have also done classroom teaching and workshops. I have great relationships with my students and I think that has lead to my 100% Rockschool pass rate.
