Hi, I’m Rob! I’m a musician, composer and actor from London. I have played the piano for most of my life – I started off playing by ear, picking out melodies and playing them on the keyboard, and then as I got older I received more of a classical training, so I am very comfortable with different styles of teaching dependent on what the student wants and needs! One thing that I always try to do in my teaching is to incorporate as many elements as possible – listening and recall, reading, playing by ear, composition, technique, music theory. These skills are all incredibly important to become a well-rounded musician.

My main interests as a pianist include stride and ragtime, musical theatre, funk and jazz. In my professional work, I also compose for musical theatre, and work as an actor, musician and musical director across the UK.
