Professional Drum Teacher

Hi, my name is Tosh and I am 23 years old professional drummer/educator.

I had my first piano lesson when I was 5 and drum lesson when I was 9.

Since then I never stopped learning and improving my playing.

After graduating from a well known classical music high school I moved to London to continue my studies in music. I did my degree in music in the British and Irish Institute of Modern Music – London (BIMM) where I had the chance to take lessons from some of the greatest musicians in the world and master my technique and knowledge.

While I was a student I also started gigging regularly and attending jam sessions.

After graduating in 2018 I started performing and teaching more and more and within few months music became my full-time job.

Up until today I’ve been regularly performing and recording in the UK and Europe for artists from all genres.

Some of the artists I work/ed with are Lulalong, The Jumpstarts, Tony Sage, Lorin Logged, Nikitta, Freedom Tree, Skar de Line, Lovisa Laine and more.

I also play private events and weddings with function bands and record as a session musician for clients around the world.

Although there isn’t a genre I don’t enjoy playing I definitely enjoy playing and listening to funk, rock, jazz and fusion more than anything else.

I got into teaching when I started studying music pedagogy in BIMM.

I started giving private lessons in my house back in 2016 and since then I grew my student network and became the drum teacher of the British School of Rock Little Rockers Course (aged 5-8) in Kingston and Twickenham and The Rock Project Surrey. (all ages)

I am passionate about teaching because I studied music all my life and I know how important it is to have the right teacher who could inspire the student and bring out the best qualities in him.

I have experience teaching kids and adults and I approach each of my students according to their goals, time and needs. So whether you are an advanced drummer looking to improve or a complete beginner looking for a new hobby you will always get the best out of it.

My lessons focus on posture, instrument techniques, rudiments, music theory, timekeeping, musical styles and coordination.

Lessons take place in my own professionally equipped studio located in Acton where you will get to play on hi-end drums and cymbals and get a recording of your lessons or in your home if you own a drum kit.

Don’t postpone another dream 2020 is the year of the groove.
